Lake Sunapee State Beach
- While swimming in Lake Sunapee, float on your back and gaze at beautiful MountSunapee. Or stake your claim (and towel) to a piece of the 300 yards of beach that are open to the public. You'll enjoy the shady picnic area whether you bring your own food or take advantage of the on-premises snack bar. The bathhouse makes it easy to change before driving home after a day in the sand. The beach season starts in mid-June and runs through Labor Day.

If you forget your lunch or decide to stay through supper hour, the Vernondale Store on Route 114 is near the park entrance. You'll find sandwiches, cold cuts, and cold drinks for an impromptu meal. The beach park opens at on weekdays and on weekends. It closes at 8PM.
